This film can be considered the ultimate form of birth control. Despite some very heavy handed opening credits, WCKAC is a little known horror film that brings something different to the evil children genre (see: Children of the Corn, The Omen, Village of the Damned, Newsies, Bebe’s Kids). It’s also a reminder that you may want to do a little research before booking that travel package on Orbitz.com.
The story follows a British couple that decide to explore a small town off the coast of Spain. What they find is an abandoned island with no adults and a group of sour faced rug rats. During their short stay, they witness the children behaving strangely. I don’t want to give too much away but I will say this… two words: HUMAN PINATA. Yes, it goes there. This is when the couple realizes “SHIT, these kids are fucking nuts and we need to get off of this island!” The second half of the film is all about survival. Which brings us to the all important question: Who can kill a child? After seeing this film you may consider it. I’m kidding! But seriously, What would you do in this situation? The final showdown between Tom and the children is epic! C’mon did you really think those kids would let them go without a fight?
