I’ve sung the praises of Paris is Burning more than once on this here blog, and even printed mugs to commemorate it’s greatness. My love for this documentary borders on obsession and I’m hoping that one day I’ll have half of the quick wits and realness of any of these ladies. Then it happened. A little gift from the Netflix Watch Instantly Gods: blinding light shone from my laptop screen. Did I just hear a harp? I almost had to squint to read the words “New in Documentary, Paris is Burning”. YEEESSSSS D-A-H-L-I-N-G! As if I need more access to this film? But for those few who haven’t seen it and been introduced to the glory that is Pepper Labeja, Willi Ninja, Octavia St. Laurent, Venus Xtravaganza, Freddie et al. Now is your time.
