Alright so let’s get one thing straight: If you’re not down with the Muppets than you’re a complete asshole. Yea, I said it. Really, what’s wrong with you? But seriously, Muppets take Manhattan is movie magic at it’s best. Having just graduated from college, Kermit and the gang decide to take their musical thesis “Manhattan Melodies” to Broadway. They arrive at the smelliest of all smelly places: Port Authority and begin their search for a producer. Their little Muppet feet pounding the cold unforgiving New York City pavement, it becomes a harrowing journey of struggle, racism, survival and sheer ambition.

They’re naive at first, but soon learn no one rides for free and they’ve got to get jobs. Sorry Rowlf, that’s New York for ya. While the crew is scattered across the country working odd jobs, Kermit finally finds a producer for the show. Manhattan Melodies hits Broadway and of course it kills! Ms.Piggy tricks Kermit into getting married and they all live happily ever after. The End. Oh my God, I almost forgot to mention the cameos?! Holy shit. Brooke Shields, Gregory Hines, Joan Rivers (before her new face), Ed Koch, Liza Minnelli, John Landis and many more people that I wikied but don’t recognize, ha! Thank you Jim Henson.
