This one breaks my heart. Walking by the Taschen store on Greene street I saw this beauty shining in the window. I was awestruck. I think my eyes were the size of saucers when I walked in like a dazed and drooling zombie and asked to see a copy. I knew I just had to flip through the pages and man, was she pretty. The new book features over 200 of Steve Schapiro’s never-before-scene photos from his time as the on set photographer as well as stories from the cast and crew and a foreward from Scorsese himself (!!!) Taxi Driver is limited to 1,000 copies, all numbered and signed by Steve Schapiro so sadly the $700 price tag will have this on my wish-list for a while… A girl can dream can’t she?
