We don’t like to get all political and serious here at I Love Hot Dogs but this film is a must! It’s an engaging documentary on the Waco/David Koresh standoff of 1993. I was only 10 years old when this incident occurred and hardly knew any of the details before seeing this film. It’s unfortunate that in the media it continues to be played up as a Jim Jones style fanatical cult that committed mass suicide after resisting a peaceful surrender. I’m sorry but this is total and utter bullshit.
I am not saying that Koresh (Née Vernon Howell, hehe) is a perfect person nor do I believe or understand everything the Branch Davidian’s practiced, BUT people still have basic human rights. The government (yes, you Janet Reno), ATF, and FBI did everything in their power to cover up what really went down including lying, withholding details and video tapes of the incident, and destroying evidence including the crime scene of the compound itself. If you want to see what really happened during those fifty one days in Texas, Watch for yourself.
