Wait Until Dark is such a good film! Audrey Hepburn plays Suzy, a blind woman who shares a basement apartment with her photographer husband. She’s beautiful, smart, amiable, and striving to become more independent with the help of her neighbor Gloria. Things are all good until Alan Arkin (and his shitty bowl cut and Lennon style shades) find out there is heroin planted in a doll inside of her apartment. Crap. But where the hell is the doll? and does Suzy knows it’s pushing weight?!! Arkin enlists a few comic book thugs to help in his scheme. Its starts off innocently enough with a series of games but quickly escalates into something more sinister. The last ten minutes are dark and intense but very entertaining.

I read that “In an effort to duplicate the suspense on screen, movie theaters dimmed their lights to their legal limits, then turned off one by one until each light on-screen was shattered, resulting in the theater being plunged into complete darkness.” So good.
